it was the lack of seaweed....

Jaws.... 
ya know? the shark movie? ok well i never saw it...but the whole idea of it, the shark creeping up under you and eating you whole always freaked me out, just as much as the next person. Well, this isn't really one of my fears. One of my biggest fears is........

                                                               seaweed.....






yeayeayea you read correctly.... I am terrified of seaweed. Just like a shark, it creeps up under me and gives me a heart attack every time. Just its whole concept. Take the Long Island Sound for example. No waves in sight yet the tiny waves that are created seem to bring in 2430984 tons of seaweed. convenient right? WRONG! 


Anywayssssssss, I always seem to lose my train of thought within my blogs. This isn't supposed to be about seaweed and how much of a dork I am because I'm scared of it, but it's about my trip to Lake George this summer. Seaweed and Lake George.....hmmmmmmm.....lets see.


July 24th 2010 ---> Salisbury Center ---> middle of nowhere--->saratoga springs (civilization) ---> fort ann -->Lake George
ok now that I have set the scene, half of this post will be taking place in Fort Ann, Upstate New York.Ok so I arrived at my friend Ashley Navarro's house (BTW check out her blog http://www.ashplus6.blogspot.com) ok anywayssss I unpack and settle down. My brother and I help out with dinner..we eat...blahblahblah.....ok TIME TO GO OUT!!!!!!! About 6-7 miles from Ashley's house is the beautiful Lake George and in the distance I see a sign..... LAKE GEORGE UP AHEAD.

Ok so this space just seemed empty...

so the picture to the right is just a picture 

of shepherds park beach thing.... 

 

soooooooo i roll down my window....and being a tourist and all I begin to take picturesssss.... of everything......

to the left, that's oscar and tyler's tough guy pose... and to the right is the minnie-ha-ha ORRRR "laughing waters" (It's a steamboat that take you around part of Lake George for about an hour. It   was a very relaxing trip.

Ok so that <----> is me and one of my best friend's ashleyyyyy.... and as you can see to the right I'm being very pre-cautious of where               I step. 

So I have a billion questions
1.) This is freshwater right?
    Yes Jen.
2.)No crabs will come and eat me?
   No Jen.
3.)So if I wanted to I can drink this water?
   Sure Jen.
4.) HOLD UP HOLD UP....WAIT JUST ONE MINUTE......... DOES THIS MEAN THAT THERE IS NO SEAWEED?!?!?!?!?!?
   yuppppp....no seaweed in sight
At this point I had fallen in love with Lake George.... It was as though all my summer problems had been solved. No more seaweed coming up to attack me. It wasn't going to get stuck in my toes or creep up behind me and under me and make me believe it was a killer fish. This was a good day.

Two days after that I went to diamond point, to the diamond village motel and spent 2 whole days with ashley's cousins. We went water skiing...well i at least attempted it, and tubing....which I did not fail at, thank you very much.  So I now will post pictures of that.

                                     

Ok well this blog was supposed to be about my fear of seaweed and because the lack of it at Lake George I was able to swim. So anyways.....this was my trip to Lake George. Hope you enjoyed it.
